International Day of Non-violence

On the occasion of the Gandhi Jayanthi marked as the ‘International Day of Non-violence’ by the United Nations, a roundtable on ‘Africa – the Making of the Mahatama’ was held on October 04, 2012 at India International Centre (Annexe), New Delhi. The Chief Guest was H. E. Rev. H. M. Mjeke, High Commissioner of the Republic of South Africa and the Guest of Honour was Smt. Tara Gandhi Bhattacharjee, Vice Chairperson, Gandhi Smriti and Darshan Samiti. It was presided by Hon’ble Dr. Bhism Narain Singh, former Governor. The event was organized by Indian Council for U. N. Relations in association with Africa India Partnership Association.
